New Viz: Movie Money
Check out my new viz, Movie Money. It looks at the domestic gross revenues for 2019 movie releases.
I was lucky enough to find a fantastic data set on BoxOfficeMojo.com that included the domestic gross revenues for nearly 800 releases from 2019. Unfortunately, budget data is much more difficult to find. With a bit of assistance, I scraped the same website for budget data. Unfortunately, these efforts only yielded budget data for only 110 of nearly 800 releases. For this reason, I opted to just focus on gross revenues.
I had a heck of a lot of fun building this viz and I hope you enjoy Movie Money.
